Key takeaways
- The best platform for a UK B2B technology company is the one that can ask your buyers' questions the way a UK buyer would, on the assistants they use, keep every answer, and handle your data on terms your team accepts.
- Check the country and language settings, where the data is stored, the currency and contract terms and whether the measurement is in English, each as the vendor's own page states it.
- A platform measures. The work that changes the answers stays with your team or an agency, and the UK agency route is set out on our UK and EMEA page.
There is no single best AI search visibility platform for a UK B2B technology company. The best fit is one that can ask your buyers' questions the way a UK buyer would, on the assistants those buyers use, in English, that keeps every answer it collects and that handles your data on terms your legal team accepts. Platforms differ on each of those points, so the choice comes down to what you check.
This guide sets out what a UK team should check, describes four platforms from their own pages, and then explains the managed route we offer for UK and EMEA technology companies. It is not a ranking, and it says nothing about which platform is better.
What a UK team should check
Which assistants and which markets. Start with the assistants your buyers use and check the platform covers them. Then check whether you can set the country for each question, and whether the number of countries or languages you can track depends on the plan. A UK team that sells across Europe will want more than one market in the same set.
Where the question is asked from. OpenAI's help page says ChatGPT may use an approximate location taken from your IP address to give relevant local results, and that a VPN or network location may affect it. See OpenAI's help page on searching the web with ChatGPT Last checked . The page is mostly about local results such as restaurants, so how far location changes answers to software questions is something to test with your own questions, not to assume. Ask a platform where its questions come from and whether you can choose.
British wording. Buyers write "optimisation", name their market and use phrases a US question set would not. Write the questions in the words a UK buyer would use. Our guide to building a buyer question set shows how.
Data location and processing terms. The questions you track are mostly about your brand and your market, but your team's logins and settings are personal data. Ask for the data processing agreement, read what it says about the UK GDPR and about transfers out of the UK, and ask where answers and account data are stored. Each vendor's own page says something different, and the lines below record what each states.
Currency and contract terms. A price in dollars or euros is exposed to exchange rates and may sit before or after tax. Check whether you can pay monthly, whether there is a minimum term and what happens when your question set grows. Our guide to what AI visibility monitoring costs explains how to compare prices on what they include.
English-language measurement. For most UK technology buyers English is the language of the question. Check what a platform says about languages, and be wary of any measurement that mixes languages without saying so.
A readable result. Ask for counts with a base, such as named in 12 of 80 answers, and not a bare score. Reading an AI visibility figure sets out why.
Platforms to consider
The lines below say only what each company's own page states on the date shown. They are not a ranking, nothing here says one is better than another, and where a page does not address a point the line says nothing about it. Pages change, so read the company's page before you decide.
Peec AIMeasurement tool
Its published data processing agreement defines the data protection law it works to as including the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and it covers international transfers with standard contractual clauses. Its homepage calls it AI search analytics for marketing teams and names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

OtterlyMeasurement tool
Its security page says the software is hosted on Amazon Web Services in EU-central-1 (Frankfurt) and that public monitoring data is stored in a US (North Virginia) data centre. Its pricing page says displayed prices are in US dollars excluding tax, with monthly and annual subscriptions, and that a monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time. Its homepage shows a report with a country filter that lists the United Kingdom.

Ahrefs Brand RadarMeasurement tool
Part of the wider Ahrefs toolset. Its page states prices in euros, describes tracking custom prompts you define as well as an index of prompts on several AI platforms, and says each prompt uses one check per platform, location and update.

ScrunchMeasurement tool
Its pricing page states prices in US dollars, offers a seven day free trial on its entry plan, and its plan table lists one country and one language on that plan and unlimited countries with custom languages on its Enterprise plan. Its site lists enterprises and agencies as use cases.

Read together, the four pages show how much the checks above vary. One names the UK GDPR in its agreement, one states where it hosts, one counts checks by location and one limits countries by plan. None of that makes one platform better than another for you, so put the same questions to each vendor and compare the answers.
The agency route in the UK
If you would rather have the work done than the dashboard, our page on answer engine optimisation for UK and EMEA software companies sets out what the work covers and who it suits. It also lists other UK and European agencies and measurement tools, each described from its own page, because the choice of route is yours. Many teams pair a measurement tool with their own people or with an agency, and that is a sound way to work.
If you want it run for you
Answer Position runs the measurement as a managed service, so you do not log into software. It is built for B2B technology and software companies selling in the UK and across EMEA. We agree the buyer questions with you in the words your buyers use, ask them across AI assistants, keep every answer as it was given and report counts with their base. Our work and measurement are in English. Our prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT. See our services for the full ladder.
- Snapshot is £995. It is a clear first read: 30 to 50 buyer questions across three assistants, set against three competitors, with a standard report and a 30-minute walkthrough. The fee is credited against an Audit booked within 60 days. It suits a UK team that wants to see where it stands before choosing a platform or a programme.
- Monitor is £595 a month, minimum 3 months. It tracks 50 buyer questions every month, with a monthly report setting out the five actions that matter most and a call each quarter. It suits a team that wants to watch change on a fixed set of questions. The work the report recommends stays with your team unless you add it.
Nobody can promise what an assistant will recommend. We define the work, keep the evidence and say how uncertain the reading is.
